Our Mission

The Desert Communities Chapter of the worldwide Association of Fundraising Professionals
advances philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice effective and ethical fundraising.The core activities through which the chapter fulfills this mission include education
and training, promoting credentialing, providing resources for fundraising effectiveness,
networking, mentoring, advocacy 
and recognition of philanthropy.

Foundation Status: Full Time Shift: Days Hours Per Shift: 8 Hour Shift Job Details: Job Objective: Responsible for developing and maintaining all database systems to meet EMC Foundation business needs, as well as perform, analyze, and interpret data for use in reports and prospect management. Designs and produces appropriate reports including standard statistical and gift reports, as well as other reports as needed. The responsibilities of this position include management and optimization of the Raiser's Edge database, including data entry and reporting applications; database integrity, data restoration, and performance optimization. Works with IS on all database issues, including Raiser's Edge system upgrades and new module implementation. Establish and maintain database procedures manual and provide formal and informal training to all EMC Foundation staff to maintain the integrity of its databases, including any database software additions or upgrades. Analyzes final recommendation on database policy and enforces EMC Foundation policies. Required Licensure/Certification: California Drivers License and auto insurance Required Experience: 3 years relational database experience. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Licensure/Certification: Certification of relational databases. JOB OBJECTIVE: In support of the goals of the EMC Foundation, the Database Specialist will perform daily data entry of donations. Assists in all data entry projects and database file maintenance. Works collaboratively with EMC Foundation staff and others on events and projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Licensure/Certification: Required: California Drivers License and auto insurance.
